Home Staging Training: Learn From Industry Leaders

Home staging is one of the fastest growing areas in the realm of real estate. Brokers and realtors alike are seeing the benefit that home staging has to their sales in quantity and in price. Not only that, but because of networks like HGTV and DIY, home staging is becoming a common request among sellers when they list their home.

Although it might  look like a “no brainer” and a skill that you could easily teach yourself by watching a few episodes of Design to Sell or Get It Sold, home staging is so much more. True staging – that which you can build a career from – is anything but the correct place to put the couch.

With any fairly new industry, you will find a lot of services that claim to be able to teach you a trade overnight. Anyone that has ever started a business knows that anything worth learning and that is created to last can not be learned in a weekend. Because of that, I give my full recommendation to the program at Staging and Redesign.

Staging and Redesign offers a thorough approach to learning the art staging. There are three programs that you can choose from: Start Up ($1295), The Professional ($2199 ), and The Entrepreneur ($2999). Because this company is run by “real people” that understand that starting a business venture is challenging enough, each program is set up with payment options!

The Professional and The Entrepreneur package include a mentoring session. This will prove to be one of the most valuable investments. You will take the online course and after that spend a day with me (or another working home stager in your area)! You will see and experience behind the scenes – everything from pulling inventory to one on one teaching as you are trained in how to stage on an actual job site.

The difference between Staging and Redesigns courses and other programs is the one-on-one, hands on training with an experienced stager in the field. It’s not a large class that gets turned loose on an occupied property to complete a redesign, but an actual home that has clients to please, agents to work with, etc.

The stagers that are chosen as instructors and mentors by SAR have experienced ups and downs as industry professionals and business owners. They are leaders in the field of home staging. The opportunity to bend their ear and hear what works and why; what doesn’t work and why; and bend their ear with your questions, goals, and vision will cap off your learning experience.

I encourage you to do your research on your options in home staging courses. I am confident that you will find none as well-rounded as SAR and that’s why I feel confident giving them my personal and professional endorsement!
